deck the halls....

Has anyone ever been to the Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas?! We go every year as a family for their Christmas production and every year it's wonderful! It's festive, we eat, we drink and it's an amazing performance. The acoustics are some of the best of all performance halls in the nation. The sound is rich and pure and it's breathtaking to hear all those beautiful instruments mixed in with the children and adult choir. If you have never experienced this place you need to! It's right here in Dallas and most people don't even know it exists. It boggles my mind when people say "there's nothing to dooooo in Dallas"! There is tons to do in Dallas!!! Get out and see it!!
Another thing that will overwhelm you is the talent that these musicians have. I mean... I am so NOT musically inclined, so to watch these musicians in their element is entrancing. I have such a love and appreciation for art and music that I literally get chill bumps and tear up when I hear a gorgeous song, or hear an amazing voice. I choked up in the Sistine Chapel when I was in Italy this past spring. I don't know what it is, but entertainment with that level of purity is just something that people don't enjoy often anymore. Don't get me wrong...I was first in line at Lil Wayne... don't judge! : ) But there is something about a style of art and entertainment that is centuries old, before sound mixing and digital sounds etc.
So enjoy something simple and pure this Christmas. Go back to the basics. It's really what Christmas is all about anyways. Jesus is the reason for the season!!!

and it only took a year...

Sooo excited to finally be blogging! I have so many talented friends that lead fabulous lives, create amazing things and are enviably fashionable. Along with advocating for their blogs (that you should follow BTW), I want to give you Just a Bit of love through my perspective. This is a big year for me! I just turned 25 and am determined to love life where I'm at, realize my dreams and live for the moment. God doesn't guarantee tomorrow : )
